Bernard Bouchard, a Frenchman who relocated (from France) to Sydney in 1995, brought with him an idea for a vineyard intermediate.

Originating from Burgundy, Bernard operated two large restaurants in Paris, he had a great knowledge of wine but also a ‘feel’ for vineyards.

He talked to vineyard owners, vineyard managers and trellising contractors in France, Australia and here in New Zealand to confirm the best design possible for a galvanized steel vineyard intermediate. A vineyard intermediate that ‘works’ in our unique soils and weather conditions.

He designed the Tristar branded VEE-POST and developed the RAMSHEAD post.
