Trellising Solutions > Modifications While we believe (and demand would concur with our belief) that we have the slots, holes, notches, etc., in the right place, from time to time, for various reasons, we have received requests to change something from the norm or standard. We have accommodated those requests on all but one occasion. If you have a desire to use our posts, but with some modification, please do not hesitate to ask. We can, and are happy to, modify our posts to suit your specific requirements. A case in point is the Lochar Vineyard in Central Otago, who wanted to use a Dann Flipper for their frost protection, but while they could house the flipper in the VEE-POST, they couldn’t achieve the desired result in the RAMSHEAD. We designed a special post called a ‘TIMBO-RAMBO’ (named after the Vineyard Manager - Timbo Morrison-Deaker). This post was a 2.4m RAMSHEAD for most of its length. For this request the internal part of the RAMSHEAD was made 2.1m, thus leaving 300mm at the top of the post as VEE-POST which was able to snugly accommodate the Dann Flippers attachment in its profile. Problem solved.
