Trellising Solutions > Installation All conventional installation methods for vineyard posts can be used on VEE-POST, RAMSHEAD, TOP NOTCH and TIMBO-RAMBO. In the event of difficult ground causing ‘mushrooming’ on the top of our posts when installing, we have a protective sleeve that will slip over the post to protect it from this outcome. R.C. Macdonald Ltd has a purpose built hand driver for sale, hire and /or loan in all wine growing regions of New Zealand, and is aware of similar hand rammers made by several vineyards who have installed our posts. Contractors with appropriate equipment can ‘post’ quickly and accurately of course. In the unlikely event of posts ‘sinking’ or ‘lifting’ we have remedies available - refer accessories. Recommendations “We recommend for increased stability of posts that any ripping be carried out only for plants and be done across the vineyard and not down the rows. Past experience has shown us that VEE-POSTs being driven into virgin ground gives very good stability.” |
