Fencing Solutions > TOPPAH This post, or extension to be more correct, is of the same profile as the VEE-POST. The ‘V’ profile fits perfectly over the ‘y’ profile of the widely used ‘Waratah’, be it of Australian or Chinese origin. By tapping the 1.2m TOPPAH onto the ‘Waratah’ a tight fit can be achieved at about 200mm onto the fence standard thus giving an extra metre of height to the fence ‘post’. TOPPAH works perfectly for converting to deer or ostrich farming. It also satisfies any need for security or quarantine fencing. Not only is this quick, easy and cheap, the slots - originally designed to capture and secure vineyard wire - will ‘house’ the fence netting safe and secure. Eureka! This has saved countless hours of labour and thousands of dollars in fencing costs on farms such as Glen Dene Station - for one. Like all our posts the TOPPAH comes with long life promoter (LLP) solution applied. Installation Tip From time to time the top of a mild steel ‘Waratah’ can be splayed. As a result, the roll formed high strength galvanised steel TOPPAH can sometimes appear not to fit over the ‘Waratah’. This is easily remedied with a strong pair of pliers. Open the (bottom) roll formed edges of the TOPPAH to allow the union of the two to be started. Then just tap on the TOPPAH 200mm and your post extension is complete. > Return to Fencing Solutions Page |
